一方。ヤマニンゼファーは
まだ目立つ成績を残していない。

彼女に注目が集まらないのも、
無理からぬことではあった。

だが、人々はすぐに知ることとなる。
そよ風【ゼファー】と見くびったのは
間違いだったと。

「――はぁああああああ！」

ヤマニンゼファーが早めに仕掛ける。
その様はまさに、疾風の如く。

第4コーナーでは3番手につけた。
直線で先頭に躍り出る。

自由に、なによりも速く風は駆ける。
あの日、目にした憧れのように。

――烈風は何者をも寄せつけなかった。

「……これが、あの風が見ていた景色。
なんと清風なのでしょうか」

「しかし、まだ風道の途中。
ここで凪となるわけにはいきません」

「まことの風はこの先に。
何よりも速く、吹き抜けてみせます」

ゴール板前まで戻って来た彼女は、
右腕を空へと伸ばした。

――ターフに風が吹き抜ける。
それは祝福の青嵐だった。

Though this race is a gathering of the fiercest GI winners, Yamanin Zephyr has yet to achieve any notable results.

It's only natural that she isn't garnering much attention.

But soon, people will know her name. They'll realize their mistake of overlooking this gentle gust.

"Hyaaaaah!"

The wind personified, Yamanin Zephyr starts by quickly breezing across the track.

By the fourth corner, she's already in third place. From there, she dashes straight into the lead.

Fast and free is the wind—more than anyone, and anything. This is the same wind I witnessed back then.

The howling tempest refuses to let anyone past it.

"So this is what it's like to become one with the wind... and what a calming breeze it is. But the wind continues to blow further on, so I too must continue to ride this current. The true wind lies at the end of this path—faster and more furious than all else."

She storms past the finish line and raises her right hand high towards the skies above.

At the same time, a fresh gust of wind blasts across the turf—a sure tell of the blessings to come.
